ROCKFORD - Rockford City Market is now accepting applications for its sixth season, which will begin Friday, May 22nd. Vendors interested in taking part can find an application online. Applications for the first half of the season will be accepted until April 3rd. There are some new aspects this year, including the development of the Rockford City Market - North End (formerly known as North End Commons Farmers Market) on Saturday mornings throughout the summer. "We are thrilled to be working on the North End market this year in addition to the downtown Rockford City Market," says Cathy McDermott of the Rock River Development Partnership. "By adding more vendors to the existing group and providing live music at the North End market, we're confident we will be able to continue to grow the market and make it a relaxing Saturday morning destination in Rockford." The Rockford City Market - North End season will run from May 16th to October 31st. Applications must be mailed by April 15th. Rockford City Market held in downtown Rockford will begin May 22nd and end on October 2nd. Hours will bring from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m.
